Richard Twiss (Rosebud Lakota/Sioux)
Co-Founder and President
Richard Twiss is a member of the Sicangu Band of the Rosebud Lakota/Sioux Tribe. Since 1974 he has lived and walked as a follower of the Jesus Way. He has been married to his wife Katherine since 1976 and they have raised four respectful, caring sons. His vision and ambition is to help people and communities come to know and experience what it means to live in a "good way." The "good way" speaks of both, a life free from all manner of destructive forces that would seek to oppress and ruin lives, and empowerment to live healthy and productive ones spiritually, physically and socially. The Creator of heaven and earth, Jesus Christ, has made this possible for all people, tribes and nations. As we walk in this Jesus Way, He gives wisdom and power to live caring, respectful and loving lives in this world; to live in authentic harmony with God, people and creation "the good way."

Katherine Twiss
Co-Founder and Vice President
Katherine and Richard Twiss co-founded Wiconi International in 1997. At the time, they were living in Plummer, Idaho, on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation. It was while there and in the midst of adverse circumstances that Richard and Katherine launched Wiconi. With no financial or organizational backing and with only a dream and vision in their hearts, they set out like Abraham on a journey of faith. In 1998, they relocated back to Vancouver, Washington, to enable their four sons to finish school and to establish the ministry headquarters. To those who know her, Katherine is an incredible mother and wife. She and Richard have been married since 1976 and often speak together at conferences. While all who work with Richard call him the perpetual optimist, Katherine balances enthusiastic energy with a prayerful gentle wisdom.
